About AVG

AVG’s lineage is complicated. In 2016, Avast acquired AVG. In 2020, Norton acquired Avira. In 2022, Norton merged with Avast to form a new company called Gen, managing the brands Norton, LifeLock, Avast, AVG, and Avira, among others.

AVG Antivirus is a great anti-malware solution that offers an intuitive interface, excellent malware protection rates, and an array of security features. It even has a free version, but it’s limited to basic malware protection only.
